Every day in the news, you hear about some newfangled financial fraud scheme that's even more devious and heinous than the last one. So start a new habit by enlisting safe practices that help thwart criminal activity. Better safe than sorry has never been so relevant.

What you should know to help you protect your personal and account information:

  • Monitor your credit report
  • Monitor your credit union statements promptly and report any discrepancies or suspect transactions immediately.
  • Use precautions with your mail and your trash
  • Know your caller
  • Safeguard your personal information
  • Safeguard your checks and credit cards
